Hong Kong yacht rental booking instructions
Rental terms and conditions
The renter must agree to and accept the following terms to proceed with the booking.
If you need to add any items, please notify us at least 5 days in advance. The charter price will be based on the confirmed booking, and any additional passengers will be charged at the booking rate. Water activities and additional services will be charged at the rate applicable at the time of addition. The selected number of passengers, water activities, and additional services cannot be reduced.
The number of passengers boarding must not exceed the vessel's capacity limit.
If the number of boarding passengers exceeds the originally scheduled number, the lessee must pay the difference (please refer to the price description). If the number of boarding passengers is less than the originally scheduled number, the lessee is still required to pay the fee based on the originally scheduled number.
Under no circumstances may the lessee change to another yacht after confirming the sailing schedule.
Passengers must notify and obtain the boat owner's approval in advance for carrying any large equipment (including but not limited to audio equipment, cooking utensils, or large devices) or for cooking purposes. Otherwise, the boat owner reserves the right to deny boarding and charge additional fees.
Please arrive at the dock in advance, as late arrivals will be at the customer's own risk. If the renter fails to show up within 2 hours (for yachts) or 15 minutes (for speedboats and other services) after the scheduled boarding time, the booking will be automatically canceled, and the full agreed rental fee must still be paid.
If the departure time is delayed or the ship arrives early due to traffic or weather-related reasons, no compensation will be provided.
The route will be finalized based on weather and sea conditions on the day of boarding. All route surcharges must be paid directly to the ship owner on the same day.
The displayed rental prices are for recreational purposes only. For other special uses such as commercial promotions, weddings, etc., please contact us for a quote.
During the boat rental period, if any equipment, appliances, devices, or other property are damaged or destroyed (excluding normal wear and tear), stolen, or removed, the renter shall pay the boat owner for the costs of repair, restoration, or replacement of the relevant items.
If the facilities or services listed as complimentary cannot be provided, the shipowner will make every effort to arrange similar alternatives, but no compensation will be given. If paid additional facilities or services cannot be provided, the lessee may choose to switch to similar services or receive a refund for those unavailable facilities or services.
If the vessel is unable to sail due to mechanical failure before departure, the shipowner will promptly notify the charterer to reschedule or provide a replacement vessel of equivalent class when permitted. Alternatively, the charterer may choose to have the charter fee refunded.
In the event of mechanical failure during the voyage, the shipowner will make every effort to return passengers to the port. If the departure time exceeds half of the charter time or the destination has been reached, no additional time will be compensated. If compensation is provided, it can only be rescheduled for use on weekdays, or a proportional refund of the charter fee will be issued.
All passengers must take care of their own belongings and personal items. BlueSea and the ship owner will not be responsible for any damage or theft that occurs on board. If needed, assistance from the police can be arranged for passengers.
For safety reasons, diving is not allowed on the upper deck of any boat, swimming is prohibited at night, and no prohibited items are allowed on board. If illegal drugs are consumed on the boat or if any violations occur, the boat owner has the right to immediately terminate the day's activity and report to the police. The company will not provide any compensation in such cases.
Passengers are responsible for their own safety and that of their companions. In the event of any incident, passengers must bear all risks and liabilities themselves. BlueSea shall not be held liable for any accidents, fatalities, or losses of any kind incurred during the journey, and passengers have no right to claim compensation or hold BlueSea accountable.
If needed, passengers can arrange additional insurance on their own.
Severe weather arrangements
In case of severe weather, the ship owner will decide whether to sail or modify the day's itinerary based on safety considerations. The ship owner reserves all rights regarding sailing decisions and route planning.
Under the following circumstances, the sailing schedule will remain normal and no refund will be issued:
i) If a tropical cyclone signal No. 1 or red rainstorm warning is hoisted before departure;
ii) A No. 1 typhoon signal or red rainstorm warning is hoisted before boarding, or the typhoon signal is downgraded to No. 1 and the black rainstorm warning signal is changed to red rainstorm warning within two hours before boarding.
The renter should maintain close contact with the boat owner to confirm the day's itinerary.
If a No. 3 typhoon signal or higher or a black rainstorm warning is still in effect two hours before boarding time, the trip may be rescheduled or canceled.
Date change (for bookings from April to September):
The renter must make changes based on booking availability. Bookings from April to September can be changed to equivalent dates after October of the same year. If changing to equivalent dates before October of the same year, the renter may incur additional fees (please contact the boat owner for details). Any difference in the updated booking amount will not be refunded.
Date change (for bookings from October to March):
For bookings made between October and March, changes can be made to an equivalent date within 3 months of the original date. If you wish to change to an equivalent date more than 3 months after the original date, the renter may be required to pay additional fees (please contact the boat owner directly for details). No refund will be given for any price difference when updating the booking.
Cancel:
A fee of 50% of the total booking amount will be charged if you cancel your booking.
If a typhoon signal No. 3 or higher or a black rainstorm warning is hoisted during the charter period, the boat owner has the right to return early in accordance with maritime regulations and safety considerations. No compensation, rescheduling, or refund will be provided for the remaining time.
If you need to reschedule or cancel a booking, the food and beverages included in all bookings cannot be changed or canceled. Due to food preparation or other factors, the renter will still be responsible for the full cost (please contact the boat owner for details) and must pick up the food and beverages at the selected location as scheduled. No compensation will be provided.
All schedule changes must be completed within one week, otherwise all rights will be forfeited.
If the vessel is unable to dock at the designated pier due to weather conditions or sea state and needs to switch to another pier for boarding, the lessee must embark/disembark at the pier recommended by the shipowner.
The renter can only change the booking time once.
