Sudden was both my guide and host for my further tasting. She knew her distillery and whiskey and made the well appointed and considered tour, much richer. The distillery tour was suited for the general public and those new to three pot still distillation. And the blending of those spirits with continuous still spirit. I didn’t have time to do a more intense visit but did do a further tasting. The distillery celebrate the women in their team and that was wonderful to see since traditionally whiskey/whisky has been male dominated.
This is a must see distillery. If you get a chance, do a micro-distilling tour. That is where the innovation and experimentation takes place. My fav was the Redbreast.
Well worth the money. Get the 261 from the bus station. Hint, buy a return ticket from the machine inside. Once the bus reaches Middleton, get off at the next stop. Buses run hourly★

It was a complete experience: we visited the old distillery and finished with a tasting. The guide was clear and precise. Overall, the tour was very well organized. Highly recommended!
