Torquay: Guided Wildlife, Bushcraft, Sea Cave Kayak Safari

Experience the English Riviera the active way—in a sea kayak—on this eco-friendly tour from Oddicombe, near Torquay. Showcasing the coves and caves where dolphins and seals are sometimes spotted, the route offers some leisurely paddling with a guide who's passionate about wildlife and geology. First-time kayakers and children over four are welcome, and groups are limited to 12 boats to ensure no-one gets left behind.

Enjoy a morning exploring the English Riviera Unesco Global Geopark, where you will paddle through stunning caves and around dramatic rock formations and into remote coves. Stop on a secluded beach to hunt for fossils, taste a wild foraged marine herb and have a beach fire where you will get to toast marshmallows.

Observe the active seal populations and resident cetaceans that move around South Devon. Watch the seals fish and bask in the sun at their favorite haul outs that you pass and observe them from your boat.

Bring snacks and water with you, and in the summer months, wear shorts and a sports top. In the autumn and spring bring active walking clothes or waterproof trousers if you have them on colder days.
