It was informative & saw most of Doha. But the trip is more expensive with you than if we bought our family ticket from the bus office box on the street

We had a 7 hour layover in Doha so we decided to take a tour. Balil, our guide, picked us up right outside the airport on schedule and promised to have us back in time for our departing flight to New York. He took us on a 4 hour tour. It was great. He showed us all the important landmarks and neighborhoods in old Doha and in the new part of the city. The heat and humidity were oppressive even at night so his comfortable air conditioned vehicle was most appreciated. We did walk a bit in the sook, the open air market, for a real taste of Doha. Overall the experience was terrific. Balil is most pleasant, speaks perfect English and knows Doha. Highly recommend the tour and Balil!

The driver, who also served as our guide, communicated clearly with us to confirm the meeting point. Since our flight arrived earlier than expected, he kindly offered to arrive at the airport ahead of schedule as well. The combo tour itself is exceptional. The desert rally is thrilling and showcased the driver's excellent skills. Some activities, like camel riding and taking photos with a falcon, require an additional fee, but they are well worth the experience. The included tea was very enjoyable, even in the heat, and the driver brought his own sandboard for us to slide down the desert dunes. Doing the city tour at night adds a special charm with the beautifully illuminated buildings. At some stops, like Souq Waqif and the National Museum of Qatar, the guide did not accompany us but provided detailed information about the locations in advance. Overall, it was a very pleasant tour. Highly recommended.


