What I especially appreciated was our guide Luca's warmth and engaging approach. The places we visited were magnificent. However, in the places we went to sample street food, the vendors were careless. For example, the shopkeeper served artichokes in a carelessly presented barrel on the side, despite the cafe having tables and chairs. The pasta place we had was quite good, though. The tour wasn't three hours, but a full two. Luca's energy made it all worth it.

The hotel is very close to Rome Termini train station. There's a Chinese restaurant next door called Wangxianglou (or something similar), their boiled beef is pretty good. There's also a motorcycle rental shop; I have a license, so I rented a Vespa for 3 hours for 45 euros, it was a lot of fun. The hotel is typical European style, the rooms are quite small, and the elevator is especially small. But the facilities are decent, and the cleanliness is acceptable.
Reviews: Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere Tour Rome

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. It took us through a part of Rome we otherwise hadn't seen, and covered both the Jewish history in this part of town, and some very interesting Roman ruins. Our tour guide, Arkaprovo, did a great job. He had a lot of energy although probably could stand to talk a bit louder, especially in crowded areas. He did not have as deep a knowledge base as some other tours we went on during our trip, but that hardly seems fair. He is a local student and we paid only 5 Euros each for this tour. Other tours we took were led by professional archeologists and cost a whole lot more. In terms of bang for the buck, this tour was great, and a fantastic way to close out our time in Rome.
