Hong Kong yacht rental booking instructions
Rental Terms
The renter must agree to and accept the following terms to proceed with the booking.
If you need to add any items, please notify us at least 5 days in advance. The cruise rental price will be based on the confirmed booking, and any additional passengers will be charged at the booking rate. Water activities and additional services will be charged at the rate applicable at the time of addition. The selected number of passengers, water activities, and additional services cannot be reduced.
The number of passengers boarding must not exceed the vessel's maximum capacity.
If the number of passengers exceeds the originally booked number upon boarding, the lessee must pay the difference (refer to the price guide). If the number of passengers is fewer than the originally booked number, the lessee is still required to pay the full fee based on the originally booked number.
Under no circumstances may the lessee change to another yacht after confirming the boat schedule.
Passengers must notify and obtain the boat owner's prior approval for carrying any large equipment (including but not limited to audio systems, cooking appliances, or large machinery) or items requiring cooking. Failure to do so may result in denied boarding and additional charges.
Please arrive at the pier in advance, as late arrivals will be at the customer's own risk. If the renter fails to show up within 2 hours (for yachts) or 15 minutes (for speedboats and other services) after the scheduled boarding time, the booking will be automatically canceled, and the full rental fee must still be paid.
No compensation will be provided for delays in departure or early docking caused by traffic or weather-related reasons.
The final route will be confirmed based on weather and sea conditions on the boarding day. All route surcharges must be paid directly to the ferry operator on the same day.
The displayed rental prices are for recreational purposes only. For other special uses such as commercial promotions, weddings, etc., please contact us for a quote.
During the boat rental period, if any equipment, appliances, devices, or other property is damaged or destroyed (excluding normal wear and tear), stolen, or removed, the renter shall compensate the boat owner for the costs of repair, restoration, or replacement of the relevant items.
If the facilities or services listed as complimentary cannot be provided, the shipowner will make reasonable efforts to arrange similar alternatives but will not offer compensation. If paid additional facilities or services are unavailable, the lessee may either switch to comparable alternatives or receive a refund for those specific items.
If the vessel cannot sail before departure due to mechanical failure, the shipowner will notify the charterer as soon as possible to reschedule or, if permitted, replace it with a vessel of similar class. Alternatively, the charterer may choose to receive a refund of the charter fee.
In case of mechanical failure during the voyage, the shipowner will make every effort to return passengers to the port. If the departure time exceeds half of the charter period or the destination has been reached, no additional charter time will be compensated. If compensation is provided, it can only be rescheduled for a weekday or result in a proportional refund of the charter fee.
All passengers must take care of their own belongings and personal items. BlueSea and the ship owner will not be responsible for any damage or theft that occurs on board. If needed, assistance from the police can be arranged for passengers.
For safety reasons, diving from the upper deck is prohibited on all boats, swimming at night is not allowed, and carrying prohibited items on board is strictly forbidden. The boat owner reserves the right to immediately terminate the day's activities and report to the authorities if any illegal drugs are consumed or violations occur on board. No compensation will be provided by the company in such cases.
Passengers are responsible for their own safety and that of their companions. In the event of any incident, passengers must bear all risks and liabilities themselves. BlueSea shall not be held liable for any accidents, fatalities, or losses of any kind incurred during the journey, and passengers have no right to claim compensation or hold BlueSea accountable.
If needed, passengers can arrange additional insurance on their own.
Bad weather arrangements
In case of severe weather, the ship owner will decide whether to sail or modify the day's itinerary based on safety considerations. The ship owner reserves all rights regarding sailing decisions and route planning.
Under the following circumstances, the sailing schedule will remain unchanged and no refunds will be issued:
i) If a tropical cyclone signal No. 1 or red rainstorm warning is hoisted before departure;
ii) A No. 1 typhoon signal or red rainstorm warning is hoisted before boarding, or the typhoon signal is upgraded to No. 1 and the black rainstorm warning signal is downgraded to red rainstorm warning within two hours before boarding.
The renter should maintain close contact with the boat owner to confirm the day's itinerary.
If a No. 3 typhoon signal or higher or a black rainstorm warning is still in effect two hours before boarding time, the trip may be rescheduled or canceled.
Date change (for bookings from April to September):
Renters must adjust bookings based on availability. Bookings from April to September can be changed to equivalent dates after October of the same year. For changes to equivalent dates before October of the same year, renters may incur additional fees (please contact the boat owner for details). Any price difference for updated bookings will not be refunded.
Change date (valid for October–March bookings):
For bookings made between October and March, changes can be made to equivalent dates within 3 months of the original date. If you wish to change to equivalent dates more than 3 months after the original date, the renter may need to pay additional fees (details must be confirmed directly with the boat owner). Any price difference for the updated booking will not be refunded.
Cancel:
A fee of 50% of the total booking amount will be charged for cancellations.
If a Typhoon Signal No. 3 or higher, or a Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted during the charter period, the boat owner has the right to return early in accordance with maritime regulations and for safety reasons. No compensation, rescheduling, or refund will be provided for the remaining time.
If you need to reschedule or cancel a booking, the food and beverages included in the booking cannot be changed or canceled. Due to food preparation or other factors, the renter will still be responsible for the full cost (please contact the boat owner for details) and must pick up the food and beverages at the selected location as scheduled. No compensation will be provided.
All change arrangements must be completed within one week, or all rights will be forfeited.
If the vessel is unable to dock at the designated pier due to weather conditions or sea state and needs to switch to another pier for boarding, the lessee must embark/disembark at the pier recommended by the shipowner.
The renter can only change the booking time once.
