We leave from Barcelona to visit the town of Besalú.
Besalu is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain by National Geographic magazine, and of course one of the most photogenic, especially the old bridge of Besalú
We walked along the Old Bridge of Besalú, It is believed that it was built in the 11th century on a Roman bridge, but it was rebuilt in the 14th century. After the destruction it suffered in the civil war it was rebuilt again. It consists of two angled sections and in the center is the tower with a small arch. We visited the city center, flooded with streets and facades as part of its medieval heritage. During the tour we visited the ecclesiastical monuments found in the town, such as the churches of Sant Pere, Santa María and Sant Vicenç, which alternate Romanesque elements with other Gothic ones. For its part, the old Jewish quarter is one of the best preserved on the peninsula.
After this medieval walk, we will stop at the DALI Museum in Figueres, where the surreal world awaits you. This museum, designed by Dalí himself, is a work of art in itself, with its extravagant facade and unique installations that capture the essence of the famous artist.
At the museum, we'll spend time admiring some of Dalí's most famous works, including paintings, sculptures, and various mind-challenging installations. For those who are not museum lovers, we can assure you that the Dali Museum exceeds all expectations, not only for its paintings, but for its way of understanding the art world.
It's time to take some time for lunch. Depending on the gastronomic expectations of each client, we offer various culinary options, such as a restaurant with an authentic Mediterranean flavor in a town 15 minutes from Figueres, or a typical Spanish tapas restaurant.
In the afternoon, now more relaxed, we will go to an Emporda Winery. famous for its wines with Designation of Origin. The region with more than 50 wineries will allow us to immerse ourselves in the wine landscape that combines tradition and modernity.
Upon arriving at the winery, we will participate in a guided tour, where you can learn about the winemaking process from the vineyard to the bottle. They will explain to us how the climate and terrain affect the character of the wines produced. Finally we will do a tasting of the different varieties produced in the winery.
Finally we will return to Barcelona
