Exploring Paita and Colán: Full Day Excursion from Piura

Itinerary
We will pick you up at your hotel in Piura at 9:00 a.m. and depart for the coastal town of Paita.
Upon arrival, we will visit the port and embark on a traditional boat for 20 minutes to watch sea lions and birds such as the black pilpilén, the brown pelican and the blue-footed booby.
Along the way, you will enjoy Peruvian chifles, delicious fried plantains. Then, we will head to Yacila beach, a beautiful stretch of fine sand where you can take a refreshing dip.
Afterwards, we will travel to Colán to visit the church of San Lucas, a 16th century basilica built on the ruins of a pre-Hispanic temple, the first chapel in the South Pacific!
At the end of the visit, you will have an hour of free time to have lunch and relax at the Colán beach resort, a beach of emerald waters surrounded by palm trees. Watch out for manta rays in this beautiful place!
Finally, we will return to Piura, where you will arrive at your hotel at 17:20.
