We had a fantastic day cycling through the Chianti countryside with our guide, Duccio! We didn't really know what to expect--we didn't have a lot of information when we booked--but everything went smoothly and better than we imagined! The pickup from downtown Siena was on time, the bikes were in good shape and our guide was terrific. We stopped at a small village, a beautiful winery (with a tasting and shared charcuterie platter) on a high hill, and also a fort. We rode a designated scenic route, about 40k, through a hilly region with lots of vineyards and olive groves. You share the road with vehicles, but there isn't much traffic and the drivers we encountered seemed respectful toward cyclists. If you enjoy a little exercise and time out in the country, I highly recommend. Request Duccio as your guide, he is very kind and knowledgeable, since he grew up in the area. In fact, you'll ride right past his house!★

We travelled with Ricardo and Enrico to Tuscany from Florence and had a great time. Ricardo was a friendly and informative guide and communicated clearly.
The beginning of the trip was a bit unfortunate as the morning in San Giminiano was extraordinarily foggy and couldn't see much. Plus Montereggioni Fortress was closes and couldn't stop there.
But from 12pm onwards the sun came out and everything went according to plan. The Il Cigliegio Restaurant was lovely, food delicious and plenty of drinks - we tasted 4 in total. They also have some cute animals like bunnies and geese roaming outside.
In Sienna we booked both the tour and the Cathedral entrance. It's a good option if you want to learn more about the history and not have to worry about where to go. Also the Cathedral is gorgeous. This left us with just over one hour of free time. Keep this in mind when you book.
Overall had a great day, worth seeing these beautiful cities.★

Reviews: Small-Group Brunello di Montalcino Wine-Tasting Trip from Siena

Marco was our guide and he was excellent. 5/5 for him.
First vineyard explained all the regulations around the brunello di montalcino wines as well as tasting with some bruschetta, in a lovely setting.
The second stop was for lunch which was fantastic, cooked by the owners wife. There were further wine tastings with lunch, however there was no look around their winery.
There was a very short stop (25 minutes) to briefly look around Montalcino then a stop at the third vineyard. This tour showed the winery then some small tastings.
There is sales pitch, understandably, at each location and we did buy 6 bottles overall, ranging from 68 to 120 euros.
It was lovely to be on such a small and intimate tour and meet lovely people as part of it.
However I would suggest reducing to two vineyards and more time to explore Montalcino.
