TLDR: Great day trip experience to this nice resort and attraction beside a section of the Great Wall. Dec is their low shoulder period, so not all shops and shows are open. Best to come in spring or autumn where the lake is still accessible. It was frozen when I was there. Description as is, simple to redeem. Driver was nice, trip took 2 hours to reach, spent the whole day walking thru the town then going up the Great Wall. You could also stay for 2 days 1 night watch the shows, walk the town in the evening and see the Great Wall lighted up at night. Note: lots of walking requiredAbout
