Me and my family took an army duck tour last sunday and we had a really good time. We would like to compliment your new guide Mark. He had really good and interesting comments about nature and wildlife that made the tour fun and enjoyable. We also loved other activities in Kuranda, like the Pamagirri Aboriginal experience. We learned how to throw a boomerang and we enjoyed the presentation of Aboriginal coulture. The scenic Railway had some really good views and the train to Cairns was most enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the train journey and the amphibious vehicle excursion. The Aboriginal program was also worth seeing. Lunch was a (well-organized) mass catering event, where everyone was satisfied, but the atmosphere wasn't very pleasant. Overall, an interesting and recommendable day in the Kuranda rainforest.★

The main reason for the trip was to see the scenery, but the helicopter ride was incredibly hot and humid, and we spent an hour in the sun. We also didn't see the legendary heart-shaped reef, which was quite disappointing. The speedboat ride was just a bit windy. The only worthwhile part was the view from the white sand beach viewpoint; climbing up was tiring but incredibly beautiful.
A special reminder: the sea conditions here are complex. Two people were swept away by waves while swimming that day, and we later saw them receiving CPR, which was very distressing. Please, please don't blindly go into the water. Enjoy the scenery; your life is the most important thing!★

Staff were friendly, the island was very clean, the walking tour guide was very knowledgeable. The glass boat was a nice adventure for us who don’t snorkel. The beach was a lovely relaxing environment, although take bug spray as there are so many ants.
