I booked on both arrival and departure. For arrival, it seems only slightly faster than general queue line probably due to early morning landed at the airport around 8 am. For departure, yes, it is significantly faster than general queue. But you still need to go into another queue line (join with other) for security screening. Unless you buy a super vip fast track which will have different queue line for security screening.

The organizers had thought of everything, contacted me in advance, and explained who would be meeting me and where. We went through passport control in just a couple of minutes.

We were met with a sign and went straight through security without a line. We didn't have to book at Fukuoka Airport. Our plane had just landed, so we only had one flight to security. If you're in a hurry, this is a good option.
