From Malang: Shared Bromo Sunrise Tour with Snack Box

The tour begins around 00:00-00:50 AM, with direct pickup from your hotel in Malang city using a 4WD jeep — the same vehicle you will use from start to finish. Sit back and rest during the early drive toward the Bromo area.

Your driver will take you on a scenic, off-road journey up to King Kong Hill or Mount Penanjakan, where you'll wait for sunrise in the chilly mountain air. While waiting, enjoy a warm coffee or tea and a snack box, including Indonesian-style fried banana (pisang goreng), served on site to keep you warm and energized.

As the sun rises behind Mount Semeru, you'll witness a dramatic transformation of the Bromo landscape — from darkness to golden light. Capture incredible views of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and the sea of clouds below you.

After sunrise, descend to the sea of sand, a wide desert-like area created by ancient eruptions. Then begin a 45-minute ride and short walk to the Bromo crater rim, where you can observe the smoking volcano, the caldera, and views of the sacred Pura Luhur Poten temple, a symbol of Tenggerese Hindu culture rooted in the Majapahit era.

- We depart very early to secure a parking spot close to King Kong Hill, as Bromo can get extremely crowded at sunrise time.
- Jeep is used throughout the entire tour. Please note: it's built for mountain terrain — don't expect the comfort of a city car. The ride can be bumpy but it's part of the adventure!
