The area at the upper end of Königsallee and around Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz is shaped by the signature of two great architects: the elegantly curved Kö-Bogen I by New Yorker Daniel Libeskind meets the urban vision of Düsseldorf's Christoph Ingenhoven. In 2021, his climate-friendly Ingenhoven Valley (also known as Kö-Bogen II) was completed. 30,000 hornbeams create Europe's largest green facade.
Facing you is the triangular market hall with a walkable grass roof. From here, enjoy the view of the historic Hofgarten and two icons of post-war architecture – the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus and Dreischeibenhaus.
