I want to start by saying that Maryna and Jonathan are wonderful people and guides. Very friendly and accommodating too. If they weren't offering this hike we would have never experienced anything like it. In a place where most tours are "boat and cava" this tour is very needed. Now, about the hike. Make sure you're doing it during a time of the year/day where you can handle the heat. There is shade along the route, but the sun and the heat were the hardest part for us. Even with the heat, the hike to the cross isn't that hard and the view is amazing. But after that if you're so inclined there are two more paths to hike an easy one and an adventurous one. The latter path was my favorite part of the hike. It was more technical. We hiked down to do a very steep hike back up. The route was very fun and the views were beautiful. That optional part of the hike is probably not for everyone and we were at our limit. But it was worth it. So was the whole experience. I strongly recommend it.★

We had a wonderful tour with Nadia who was so informative about the history of Alicante and the region as well as the important landmarks in the area. Her English was excellent and she tried to slow down even for those who had English as their second language. We visited the Mercato Central and were able to taste some of the local Jamon and Manchego. We then visited Castel de Santa Barbara which we accessed via Taxi paid for by Nadia. My only complaint here is that the way the tour description reads you get an hour to explore the Castel but in fact we only spent around 15mins here and would’ve liked more time to look around. We then walked back down from the Castel through the Santa Cruz area and down to the old town. The tour finished with a drink and a Montadito each. We learned a lot from Nadia and really enjoyed the tour just would’ve liked to have more time at the Castel for five star review which is not at fault of Nadia who did a five star job.
