Hidden alleyways far from the tourists. And the excellent guide Sofia with her French-Maltese name. She tells me about her troubled childhood under the dictator Salazar and the suffering of a people who no longer had access to culture or freedom of expression.

Évora is a beautiful city rich in history and culture but we would have missed all of it without our guide, João. He really made the city come alive and did an amazing job at tailoring the tour to our interests. I would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get João please tell him we said óla!

We got the Lisbon Megapass for our weekend trip and it honestly made everything so much easier. We used it for the trams, the river cruise, and a couple of museums. Not having to worry about buying separate tickets saved us so much time. The river cruise at sunset was the highlight for us. Definitely recommend if you want to see a lot in just a few days.

The tour was unique and very informative and interesting. I appreciated the balance of seeing one of Sintra’s palaces in detail alongside the incredible natural beauty in this area. Our guide David was friendly and warm and answered all of our questions. As a solo traveler, this was a fun way to meet a few other people traveling on their own.

I book this last minute because of a canceled flight and I am so thankful because this was an amazing trip. Our guide Omar was amazing, sharing so much knowledge and details about the sights. Every stop on this trip was beautiful. Evora was old world charm. Monsaraz was so interesting with its history and the view of the river and Spain.


