Loire Valley: Vouvray Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting

Head to the quaint village of Chançay, at the heart of appellation Vouvray to meet your guide, the wife of the winemaker at the family-owned winery you'll be touring. Hear about the history of a winery owned by your guide's parents-in-laws since 1973 and immerse yourself in life at the winery for a few hours. 

Take a guided walk in the vineyard surrounding the winery to learn about the French appellation system and its strict rules, as well as the art of vine-growing throughout the year. Understand the specificities of the terroirs in Vouvray and enjoy the view over the vineyards, the winemaker's houses, and the rock-hewn cellars that are typical of the area.

Follow the path taken by the grapes at harvest time from the vineyard to the winery where they're pressed to make wine. Learn about different wine-making techniques and visit the wine cellar dug in the rock by your guide's family.
