An amazing experience! The photo shoot in Chinese costumes exceeded all expectations. ★★★★★
This was one of the highlights of my trip! The opportunity to experience the history and culture of China was priceless. The photos received a flurry of compliments! For the price, it was the best gift to yourself.
Organization: Everything was perfect: about 3 hours total. 1 hour for makeup, 15 minutes to Beihai Park, half an hour of shooting. Afterward, you can walk around in your costume and take your own photos.
Team: They worked professionally. The stylists communicated through a translator. The photographer spoke English, directed gestures perfectly, and created a comfortable atmosphere. There was no language barrier.
Result and tips: The photos turned out exactly as I dreamed! Be sure to choose historical or traditional costumes—it's a unique opportunity. If it's winter, bring a warm undershirt and gloves. In the summer, no problem.
I highly recommend this magical experience for cultural immersion and unforgettable photos!★

Mary reached out the day before via WhatsApp and answered my logistic questions. Overall I’m very happy I joined her tour. She is patient, upbeat, and explained well without being overwhelming. Perhaps I’m out of shape, but this ~5 hours walking tour was intense during the last hour or so. Be sure to wear comfiest shoes and bundled up! Also I’m glad Mary’s notes did mention bringing drinks and snacks with you. The snack shops inside the Forbidden City were too long to wait.★

The tour guide was patient and professional. He informed the group of specific details one day in advance. The explanation was lively and interesting, and he also told us what was worth seeing. He didn't just recite a script, but felt very alive. He was very attentive throughout the whole process. It was a perfect experience in the Forbidden City. This time, our group of six chose the Xiucai Shuo private tour for our Forbidden City trip, and it was fantastic and well worth it! Our guide, Mr. Chen, provided incredibly detailed explanations, starting from the Meridian Gate and continuing through the newly opened Hall of Mental Cultivation, Palace of Earthly Tranquility, and Palace of Gathering Elegance. It was packed with knowledge! Mr. Chen was also very kind and took many photos for us. The only downside was that the four hours went by too quickly; it definitely wasn't enough. Next time we're in Beijing, we'll definitely book another tour with Mr. Chen from Xiucai Shuo for such amazing explanations! Our family loved it! ❤️★

Our tour guide, Li Xue, was very professional and polite. Her explanations were engaging and clear, and she could describe the architecture of the Forbidden City, down to every brick and tile, in great detail, sharing many interesting stories. She also interacted with the group members during her explanations. Our family was very satisfied. I highly recommend hiring a guided tour when visiting the Forbidden City.
