Begin your tour at the iconic white columns near the Meskhishvili Theatre. Stroll down historic Rustaveli Street to the scenic White Bridge. Along the way, enjoy a fresh Georgian pretzel from a local bakery — a tasty bite of daily life.
Explore the bustling Green Bazaar, where locals trade fresh produce, spices, and homemade goods. Walk across the Chain Bridge with views of the Rioni River. End your tour at the foot of the steps to Bagrati Cathedral.
After the walking tour in Kutaisi, we'll head by comfortable vehicle to Tskaltubo — a small, lush town located about 20 minutes from the city. Once a luxurious Soviet spa resort, Tskaltubo is now famous for its mysterious, abandoned sanatoriums. These grand, decaying buildings offer a fascinating glimpse into Soviet-era architecture and ambition. Some of them are slowly being reclaimed by nature, making it a favorite location for urban explorers and photographers.
We will walk through the parks and streets of Tskaltubo, exploring the exteriors (and some safe interiors) of the most famous sanatoriums, such as the Iveria and Medea, while learning about their history and the spa culture that once flourished here.
At the end of the tour, we'll return you to the center of Kutaisi.
Throughout the experience, your local guide will offer a blend of storytelling, fun facts, and personal recommendations — from the best hidden cafes to favorite local dishes — giving you a deeper connection to the city.
