Itinerary
Discover the history and natural beauty of Macedonia on a full-day tour from Thessaloniki. Visit the royal tombs of the Macedonians in Vergina, the Agios Nikolaos Grove, and the impressive waterfalls of Edessa.

Depart from Thessaloniki and head to the Museum of the Royal Tombs of the Aegean in Vergina. Explore the underground museum and see the tomb of Philip II of Macedon. Admire the exhibitions in four connected areas, including the Palace, the royal funerary group of the Temenid dynasty, the funerary group of Philip II, and the entrance with an exhibition of sculptures found in the city's sanctuaries and the restored upper floor of Philip's Palace.

Next, head to the Agios Nikolaos Grove, a Panhellenic Tourism and Recreation Center, just 3 km southwest of the city of Naoussa. Explore the 60-acre grove with plane trees, sports facilities, recreation areas, playground, artificial fishing and boating lake, restaurants with local trawl, outdoor dining areas, sports and walking trails at the sources of the Arapitsa River.

Finally, visit the Edessa Waterfalls, located in the city of Edessa in Macedonia. See the waterfalls, a natural phenomenon that was created after a strong earthquake that struck the area in the 14th century. Admire the 12 waterfalls in the area, 4 of which are visible.
