We begin our day with a visit to the archaeological site of ancient Elis — once the administrative center of the Olympic Games.
Stroll among the ruins of temples, athletic facilities, and public buildings, and imagine the grandeur of this historic city that played a vital role in ancient Greek culture. Your guide will bring the site to life with fascinating stories and insights into its rich history.
After exploring ancient Elis, we enjoy a scenic half-hour drive through the beautiful Greek countryside as we make our way to Kourouta Beach — one of the largest, sandiest, and most stunning beaches in the region.
Entrance to the beach is free. You're welcome to explore on your own, find a quiet stretch of golden sand, and enjoy a peaceful swim. Or, if you prefer, you can relax at one of the many organized beach areas, complete with refreshments, local treats, and comfortable sunbeds.
We'll spend approximately 2 hours at the beach — plenty of time to swim, sunbathe, or simply unwind. Afterwards, we'll meet at the designated point and return comfortably to the cruise ship.
