Reviews: Manuel Antonio Mangrove Boat Tour

We had an amazing afternoon doing the Mangrove boat tour. Our guide Memo was great as he was very knowledgable but also very entertaining. We saw an array of birds, lizards, and water animals - and we were so close to the monkeys that we could almost touch them! We were a little unfortunate not to see any crocodiles or snakes, but there’s always an element of luck when trying to view the wildlife. However, the route itself is very scenic and peaceful, and the mangroves are stunning to see in person. The location was tricky to find and no Ubers would pick us up after the trip as we were too far out, so definitely book your return taxi in advance if you don’t have a car. Finally, we were well looked after by the local cat, who walked us all the way down the winding path until we had safely reached the road. A lovely day and a great experience, would highly recommend!★

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Planet Dolphin and the catamaran cruise!! I can’t say enough good things about the staff. For starters, I booked the wrong location and they were very responsive and helpful in getting us switched to the correct spot just hours before. The crew on the boat was so friendly and fun and the service was amazing. We had our three young children with us (4,6,8) and they had such a blast swimming and jumping off the boat. The lunch was absolutely delicious and the crew went out of their way to help us spot whales and sea turtles. A great value for the price and an amazing experience for our whole family.★

Our tour guide Javier was very knowledgeable and friendly and Manuel Antonio Park has stunning views, beaches, and biodiversity of fauna and flora. One of my highlights in Costa Rica. We saw monkeys, sloths, deer, lizards, bats, beautiful grasshoppers and leaf cutting ants in the move. Highly recommended.★
