Reviews: Experience on Sal Island with native and certified guide (including sharks)
Guest User2026-01-22
We took the island tour with pick-up in Murdeira and everything went very well from the start. The organization was punctual and without problems. The place where we had lunch was spectacular. We chose cachupa and enjoyed it very much: the portion was very generous, with a drink included, and we found the price very affordable (€11). Our guide was Arlindo and we couldn't have been better served. Throughout the day he shared with us a little of his history, his family's practices and the local culture, always clarifying our doubts and curiosities in a very genuine and approachable way. In Palmeira we visited a shop where it was possible to buy souvenirs and also try some local drinks, such as grogue. The experience that most impressed us was, without a doubt, Shark Bay. This tour is an excellent way to get to know Sal Island. We wish Arlindo all the best and recommend the experience.

Jessica was the best! So informative! The history and donuts were awesome. She was perky and fun! We would most certainly tell others!
Reviews: The Museum of Flight Entrance Ticket

What a great aviation museum! We visited on a rainy Saturday and despite the large number of people it never felt crowded. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the museum volunteers, Keith. He was very friendly, helpful and eager to tell us all about the museum and which displays were located in which parts of the facility and explained the map/brochure in detail. The facility is well laid out and has a good balance of airplanes on display, an entire section on space travel, as well as a few interactive displays that are great for aviation enthusiasts of all ages. We really enjoyed the aircraft that were displayed outside (open air, but covered so you stay out to the rain) and had fun being able to see the interior of a B747, B787, Air Force One and a retired Concorde. For us, it was worth the price of admission. Discounts are available on the entrance fee, see details on their website. They offer a AAA discount and offered the same discount with our CAA card.
