Tossa de Mar was once an ancient fishing village. Over time, it has transformed into a renowned Mediterranean tourist destination, especially famous for its breathtaking beaches. In 2013, National Geographic listed Tossa de Mar among the world's top 25 beaches. The beach stretches about 400 meters, with a mesmerizing blue coastline that captivates visitors. Particularly notable is the defensive wall at the southern end of the coastline, which serves as the iconic view of this beach.
In addition to its beautiful beaches, Tossa de Mar boasts many historic buildings and ruins worth visiting, such as the Gothic-style Municipal Museum, the Parish Church, and the ancient Roman villa ruins. Although this small town is compact, one day is enough to explore it all. Staying overnight would be even better. After all, Tossa de Mar is not only a historic town in Spain but also one of the filming locations for "The Legend of the Blue Sea" and "Game of Thrones."
