On this one-day fall cultural tour from Nagoya, you'll visit three distinct and breathtaking central attractions, experiencing the beauty where nature and history intertwine.

[Kokeizan Eihō-ji Temple] Established at the end of the Kamakura period (1313) under the direction of Zen monk Musō Soseki, this temple belongs to the Nanzen-ji branch of the Rinzai school. Its Kannon-dō and Kaisan-dō are designated National Treasures of Japan, renowned for their exquisite pond garden, the "Muji Bridge," and "Garyū Pond." The architecture blends Chinese Tang and Song dynasty styles, featuring cypress bark roofs and Zen gardens that reflect the fusion of Sino-Japanese Buddhist art. Here, architectural aesthetics harmonize with garden maple leaves and ancient trees, enhancing seasonal experiences. Famous for its Kannon-dō and Muji Bridge, the temple combines Zen spirituality with natural beauty, making it a premier destination for experiencing Japanese Zen culture and scenic landscapes.

Obara Shikizakura is a hybrid variety of wild cherry blossoms, combining the "Bean Cherry" and "Edo Higan" species. Unlike the typical Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, it blooms in spring but reaches full splendor in fall. Every November, over 10,000 Shikizakura trees burst into bloom amid crimson maple leaves, creating a dreamlike seasonal spectacle where pink cherry blossoms intertwine with autumn foliage—a rare "cherry and maple duet" in Japan. Perfect for leisurely strolls and photo opportunities, it offers a uniquely romantic fall memory.

Korankei gorge is the most famous autumn foliage spot in Japan's Tokai region. The maple leaf trail, built along the Tomoe River, boasts over 4,000 maple trees. In late fall, the maple leaves gradually turn red, creating a picturesque natural landscape with wooden bridges, streams, and surrounding mountains. Korankei gorge in the afternoon light is a golden hour not to be missed by photography enthusiasts.
