Set some goals, assess your current skill level. If you're a beginner, we'll get you safely standing up and catching your first wave before you even have time to worry about falling.

If you have prior surfing experience, we'll help you progress faster by focusing on technique, board control, and enhancing your natural abilities.

What's included

2-hour surfing lesson experience

2. According to your booking: Each instructor will guide 1–6 students, with a maximum of 6 students per session.

Including all equipment

Approx. 1 hr 20 min in the water

All personal expenses and fees not mentioned in the inclusions.

How to use

1. After your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email with an attachment. Please check the details on the admission voucher. On the day of the activity, bring the voucher with you. Arrive 15 minutes early to ensure smooth check-in.

2. A 20% rescheduling fee will be charged for any course changes made within 24 hours.

If you are unable to arrive on time or participate in the itinerary on the departure day due to personal reasons, it will be considered a voluntary forfeiture and full cancellation fees will apply.

5. Our headquarters, The Surf Shack, is located behind Seaway Cafe in Doug Jennings Park on Seaworld Drive at Main Beach. To find us, simply walk along the right-hand side between the cafe and the facilities area, and enter through the back door. You can also ask the coffee shop staff for directions.

Change & cancellation policies

If a cancellation request is submitted before 12:00 AM, 5 day(s) prior to the date of use, no cancellation fee will be charged.

If a cancellation request is submitted after 12:00 AM 5 day(s) before the date of use, a fee of 100% will be charged.

Cancellation is not allowed once the product is activated.

If a discount is applied, the cancellation fee will be calculated based on the original price before the discount and will not exceed the amount paid.

Partial refund is not available.

Important note

Recommended items to bring: swimwear, towel, flip-flops, and drinking water.

A good command of English is required to understand the coach's instructions.

Get Wet Surf School may use the photos and/or visual images taken during my participation in activities for general promotional purposes.

Starting December 17, 2021, Get Wet requires all staff, customers, and visitors to be fully vaccinated and present Queensland Government-approved proof of vaccination to our staff.

Public holidays: Additional fees apply for courses on official Queensland public holidays.

At our surf school, we conduct surf lessons in all weather and surf conditions, whether rainy or sunny, as long as it's safe. If the waves are too big, completely flat, or unsafe due to strong winds or lightning, we will reschedule your lesson. If we change the time and you cannot attend the new session, we will offer another lesson on a later date. If the timing doesn't work, we may provide a refund at our discretion.
