Reviews: New York in One Day Guided Sightseeing Tour

We did a Red Eye Charter bus tour that allowed us only 13.5 hrs in NYC before we were boarded and headed back home. We thought this tour would be the best way to take as much of NY in in that limited time. Boy were we right Mim was perfect - very knowledgeable with tidbits on all areas of NY. With the tour’s schedule it allowed us to see a little of everything the. Make the decision where we want to return. We felt safe at all times. Very very happy with our experience. Thank you for making my whirlwind day the best!

The trip was truly wonderful! What we didn't like was being lied to. At the end of the tour, Lucas told us that Trump had passed a law requiring a $5 tip per person. This is a lie, since that's what sales taxes are for—you pay them on absolutely everything you buy in NYC. Tipping is a personal matter, based on the consumer's taste and purchasing power. When you've been in the city for many days, as was our case, you get very fed up with this issue. In the end, to avoid ruining the trip, we gave him the $10. It's certainly embarrassing to be asked for a tip; it's just mortifying. And I'll finish by pointing out that on other tours where they didn't ask for anything, we happily gave tips because we didn't feel pressured to do so.
