Reviews: Meteora Monasteries & Caves DayTrip from Athens with Greek Lunch
Guest User2026-03-17
We drove a long distance on the highway to Meteora. The local guide provided good explanations, and visiting each monastery was enjoyable. It is a place where you need to carefully consider the distance and time before visiting. While the scenery and the monastery visits were good, I consider the 5-euro entrance fee for each monastery, and even the 1-euro charge for the restrooms, to be a rip-off for tourists.

Reviews: Meteora: Midday Tour with Lunch & Optional Athens Transfer
Guest User2026-03-28
100% recommend this trip!!! Our tour guide Maria was so friendly and knowledgeable. We got to know other travelers in our group from all over the world. Lunch was a full meal from a delicious restaurant. The bus was very comfortable. We got ample time to unload from the bus and take pictures at the best photo spots. Cannot recommend enough!

The helpfulness, friendliness, and kindness of the guide Giorgio. I would improve the duration. A little more time available for the various stops would be nice.

Reviews: Delphi and Meteora Private Day Trip from Athens including Dinner
Guest User2025-09-27
This was a long, but great tour and experience. We did not want to split Delphi and Meteora over 2-3 days, preferring to find this option to do both in one day. Communication was fantastic with our driver who picked us up promptly at our apartment at 6a and dropped us back off at 8p. He was knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. We were able to stop periodically for pastry and coffee or just a break as needed. The sites we visited really are amazing. Even though it was rainy and misty at Meteora when we visited, it simply added to the mystique and beauty of these structures that seem to levitate high above the surrounding villages and farms. Highly worth it, and much more pleasant when done this way in a private car. Dinner at the end was a perfect way to cap the trip.

Reviews: Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings
Guest User2026-02-14
The only reason I gave this a 5 is because it didn't go any higher!!! Mike was amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and fun! Lots of stops and lots of tastings! And the sit down MEZE meals were so delicious and filling! Loved the fish and meat market, the spices, the honey, the olives... well, we loved the entire thing! There were six of us, and we were all full by the end! My favourite was the calamari, but the yoghurt with honey was a close second ๐Ÿ˜‰ Mike did have loads of info and facts about the foods and their production, plus history of the areas and anecdotes - and he was patient with our questions and teaching us Greek words! Would definitely recommend bringing an empty bag to carry your purchases, and comfortable shoes. The tour was very worthwhile and fun! Highly recommend this tour!
