1001% recommend this tour! Our guide Shine/Xiao was one of the best guides we'd ever met. She was funny, helpful, knowledgeable, and overall an absolute delight (and also good at taking photos)! It felt more like a friend bringing us around their hometown rather than a typical tour guide telling you things. We had the best day with her—I can't imagine looking at an irrigation system and thinking its interesting, but she made the whole thing fun and intriguing. Also huge thanks to our driver for making the entire journey so comfortable. The tour itself started early, which was a great way to have minimal crowds at most of the attractions (and a good decision). This tour gave us the best and most Dujiangyan has to offer and more!!

An unforgettable day with the incredible giant pandas! While our 7 AM pickup was delayed by 90 minutes, our wonderful guide Zoe more than made up for it. We missed the morning activities like feeding and cleaning enclosures, but Zoe’s passion, deep knowledge, and warmth turned the experience around completely. The reserve was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. We were able to see the pandas up close while they were eating and playing—absolutely magical! After lunch, we attended a great presentation, made panda cakes and bamboo leaf salad, and received a volunteer certificate, T-shirt, tote bag, and postcards. As compensation for the delay, Zoe offered an additional visit to the Dujiangyan Water Treatment Facility, which was stunning and rich in history. Her insights made the visit even more meaningful. Our driver was also safe and polite. Highly recommend this tour—and if you get Zoe as your guide, you’re in for something truly special!
