Morning: Hotel pick-up & guided tour of Zhujiajiao highlights
In the morning, a private tour bus and guide will pick you up from your hotel on time and take you to the ancient town of Zhujiajiao, known as the "Venice of Shanghai".
Upon arrival, your guide will take you on a tour of Kezhi Garden, a prime example of Jiangnan gardens and residences. The guide will accompany you throughout the tour, explaining the garden's blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, its exquisite layout, and the stories behind its stele gallery and ancient trees.
Afterwards, move to the pier behind Kezhi Garden to begin a pleasant rowing boat experience on the Caogang River. The tour guide will introduce you to the scenery of the waterways and the history of the ancient bridges along the way, allowing you to experience the tranquility and charm of this water town.
At noon, you are free to explore the ancient town and sample local snacks such as braised pork, zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), and fried dough sticks, or choose to dine at a riverside restaurant (at your own expense).
Afternoon: Panoramic view of Global Harbor & Free Time
In the afternoon, a private car will take you to Shanghai's landmark commercial complex – [Shanghai Global Harbor].
Upon arrival, your tour guide will lead you directly to the 52nd-floor observation deck of the Twin Towers (included in the price). Here, the guide will point you to the best vantage point, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of Shanghai: a close-up view of the winding Suzhou Creek, and a distant view of the Lujiazui "three-piece set" (Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Jin Mao Tower), allowing you to experience Shanghai's magnificent skyline. The guide will also share interesting facts about these landmark buildings and photography tips.
After the sightseeing experience, you will have free time (shopping and dinner are at your own expense). You are free to purchase international brands or designer boutiques and choose your favorite cuisine from the many dining options on the Global Harbor's dining floors.
Return trip
After the agreed meeting time, your private car and guide will be waiting at the designated location to comfortably take you back to your hotel or a designated location in the city, concluding your wonderful day trip that blends the charm of a classic water town with the style of a modern city.
