The timing on the itinerary was wrong by at least 1.5 hrs. When we arrived at on time at 7.40am, the check in person said "you are way too early". Come back after 9am. The boat didn't leave until 10am.★

A truly wonderful trip! We were blessed with great weather and a fantastic guide, Chenchen, whose Chinese is excellent and who was incredibly enthusiastic! The snorkeling instructors were all fun and responsible! They even created underwater bubbles for us to film! When we saw turtles and clownfish, they proactively took out their phones to record them for us! Just a heads-up, please confirm with your guide at check-in which island you're going to for snorkeling or scuba diving. Two guests got it wrong today, so it's also a good idea to contact XC beforehand to confirm. Oh, and my phone didn't have Wi-Fi on any of the three islands, so please let your important friends know before you go!★

The island fee for Mabul Island is 50 MYR, payable by yourself or by scanning a QR code. It's truly beautiful, filled with flowers and Bajau people selling coconuts. It's not ideal for snorkeling, perhaps due to the presence of overwater bungalows. However, the instructors are very helpful. Overall, it's best to just enjoy the scenery and take photos. I recommend our guide, Chen Kaixin; he's super fun and awesome!★

Everything with the tour was good, and the sites you see are beautiful! Phong was a good guide; he explained information about Ha Long Bay and Hanoi, and was always clear about logistics (like where we were going and how long it would take to get there). The lunch and snacks provided were delicious. Some of the logistics were unclear from the *** listing and could have been communicated a little better ahead of time, but the organizers respond very quickly on Whatsapp to all of the questions I had so this wasn’t a problem. ★

A good value for money excursion around the waterways of the GC with the added benefit of local knowledge delivered in a warm and witty way. The staff were all fun, friendly and professional, especially when it came to safety.
