We’d done the Acropolis and Acropolis Muesum tour. Overall it was a good and informative tour, and it was interesting to have seen some of the pieces more close up at the museum .

The museum has a lot of pieces of ancient Greek art and the rooms follow a historical line, though sometimes a bit confused for someone who is not a history connoisseur. A high point in my opinion was Rome's Hadrian's sculptures and his passion for keeping Hellenic art in accordance with the classical Greek patterns, never imposing a change or destruction of earlier Greek art and architecture. Impressing were the Mycenaean art exhibitions of the metal ages (gold ,silver and bronze). Air conditioning was fine in such a hot summer morning,the local was clean. Highly recommended!

Parts of the museum were closed due to staff shortages which was a shame. The museum shop was closed as well. When standing in line in front of the museum there was no separate line for people with tickets, so you had to listen carefully for a member of staff to softly call out for the people with tickets to come forward. It was crowded and the explanation next to the art is written in black letters on a grey background so you had to strain your eyes and read from up close which was not easyJet to do with a lot of people around. Beautiful art, but not such a great experience.
