Thanks to Yunnan Tourism for their thoughtful arrangements, and to Mr. Yang Chunjie for his attentive assistance and introductions throughout the trip, making my journey wonderful. Mr. Yang knew I preferred less crowded spots at attractions, so he specially found those locations for me to enjoy the sights properly. The travel company and Mr. Yang are absolutely trustworthy travel partners. (Special note: I also had a day trip to the Stone Forest and Jiuxiang from Kunming with this company, and it was a very satisfactory arrangement!)

The eight of us who had planned the backpacking trip only had one day to spare in Dali. Our itinerary involved taking a train from Kunming the previous evening, doing a day tour, and heading to Lijiang the next morning. Initially, we intended to take a taxi or bus, but we decided that while a private car tour would cost a bit more, it would be more cost-effective. The private car driver paid meticulous attention to detail, such as using a smartphone for translation and always parking closest to our destinations. Thanks to him, we completed a comfortable day tour. At Xizhou Ancient Town, about 100 meters from the entrance, there was a coffee shop opposite the public restroom that was atmospheric and very affordable. They ground the beans on the spot and made an Americano for 5 yuan. In other places, Maxim coffee was 5 yuan. Shuanglang Ancient Town was not very impressive. The S-shaped riverside road offered great photo opportunities. Chongjing Temple, with its Three Pagodas, was also nice.

Our Dali private day tour exceeded all expectations! Erhai Lake's serene waters mirrored the sky, while the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple stood majestically, whispering tales of ancient wisdom. Xizhou Old Town transported us to a bygone era, and Wase's charm left us captivated. The Haidong Wetlands offered a serene respite, and Jinsuo Island's beauty was breathtaking. Our guide was knowledgeable and attentive, making this an unforgettable experience.

The tour is compact and meaningful with many scenic travel spots included. The ground staff provided sufficient information for pick up and itinerary related matters. The tour guide, 小齐 is superb. He was very friendly, courteous, caring with proper timing plus very informative about tour locations and history. A joyful tour for us and it is definitely a value for money experience.

We really enjoyed both locations, Shaxi town and Shibao Mountain. The driver was very safe and patiently waited for us to complete our sightseeing. The booking and pick up scheduling was smooth and communication through WeChat was fine. Recommended!
