Have good shoes, because it is ~ 12k steps. Also in october very windy, prepare for that! Interesting and in dept guiding, thx Vanessa! Start and finish exactly as promised, very precise and professional, clearly experienced. The place is amazing, once in a lifetime must see. The "hot dog" around half time is a lifesaver, very tasty, go for it!★

Wow!! I cannot recommend this trip enough!! It was absolutely amazing, the perfect blend of guidance and information with enough freedom to explore and see things on your own. Dao was the best tour guide, I've ever had, anywhere. I did this tour with my wife and sister, but I will definitely be taking my parents and friends on this exact tour when they visit me. If you want to see the Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China and you only have one full day in Beijing, then 1000000% book this trip. Thank you for this wonderful experience.★

A very satisfying trip! Surprisingly few people and a smooth ride 🤣 We went on October 6th, worried about the crowds during the National Day holiday. However, the forecast for rain on the 6th caused many people to cancel, so the crowds were smaller than expected. And actually, it wasn't raining at the Great Wall—the sun was shining.
We arrived at Mutianyu Great Wall in less than an hour and a half! We had lines for the cable car and trolley bus within 15 minutes. The tour guide said it would take a three-hour drive to reach the Great Wall on the 5th, and that lines for the cable car and trolley bus would take at least two hours during the National Day holiday, meaning we had to choose between the two routes. We kept saying how lucky we were! 😆 We took the cable car up, walked a short section of the wall, took a few photos, and then took the trolley bus down. Then, we took the cable car to the highest section of the wall. Because the two routes reach different altitudes, the views are also different. The view from the highest point is truly stunning, but I recommend doing both if you have the time. 😂
Once we arrived at the Summer Palace, we were able to board the tour boat without waiting in line. The tour guide said we had to wait until 6 PM the day before to get on the boat. I was so lucky! 🙏 The Summer Palace is also beautiful. I saw many princesses, emperors, empresses, and princes along the way. 😂 Combined with the architecture and scenery of the Summer Palace, it felt like I had traveled back to the Qing Dynasty. 😂
We dispersed near the Bird's Nest at 6 PM. After dinner, the lights at the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube were all lit up! That day, there happened to be a Zhang Yixing concert at the Bird's Nest, which Sehun went to. 🤣
Thanks to our tour guide, Peter. He provided us with a lot of information, was humorous, and often took the initiative to take photos for the group. He was also very kind. He went back to look for people who were late or lost without getting annoyed. He was always gentle and humorous.★

The tour guide Mike is so excellent for making the tour go pleasantly and smoothly. We managed to finish both the East and the West routes on time(5hours), rushed for the lunch buffet ( delicious); very pity we could not have enough time to enjoy the buffet as the bus leaves at 15:30. Although we bought the returned cable cars for both routes(140 yuan x 2) but we only used one to go up in the East route, then down at the West route). So I think we only need to buy one way ticket up(100yuan) and 1 down to save 80 yuan next time or for any traveller who wants to finish the both routes within the tour time. It is amazing trip and feeling lucky to see the wonder of the world ( the Great Wall of China). Thank you the ancient Chinese!
