This half day tour is a great and convenient way to visit Hallstat. It is of course more expensive than taking the train or public bus+ferry to get to Hallstat, but it is certainly a time-saver. It's essentially a direct bus trip to Hallstat with a bit of commentary of interesting places that we passed and some history. Once you reached Hallstat, you will go around on your own for about 2.5 hours and the bus will come to pick up at a certain time. The 1.5 hours ride is comfortable and there's a power point at your seat if you need to charge your phone.

Our tour guide Susie was amazing. She was full of energy and information. The tour was well organized with good transportation. Hallstatt is a beautiful village and is a must visit. I hope all tourists kept their volume levels down as you can see a lot of locals are not happy with the massive inflow of tourists.
