Attractions and Activities: Fort Granby (Free entry) Fort Granby is a small but charming historic site on Tobago's southeast coast. Built around 1765, it was one of the island's earliest British fortifications, originally protecting the former capital, Georgetown. While only limited remains of the fort survive today, the area is beautifully maintained and shaded by impressive, intertwined trees that create a calm, park-like atmosphere. Visitors can see the gravestone of British soldier James Clark (1772) and enjoy panoramic views over Barbados Bay and Pinfold Bay, making it a lovely spot for photos, a short break, or a picnic. Quiet, scenic, and easy to visit, Fort Granby is a pleasant stop for those interested in Tobago's history and coastal landscapes. 30 min(s)
Attractions and Activities: Fort King George (Free entry) This mountaintop fort mixes stunning ocean and city views with a dose of Tobago's military and colonial history. Within Fort King George, travelers can explore the prison and officers' mess, as well as the quaint Tobago Museum located inside of the former barrack guardhouse. The Tobago Museum features weapons and pre-Columbian artifacts found in Scarborough alongside old Tobago maps and photographs. Outside of the historic buildings, visitors can find several canons and expansive views of Scarborough Bay. Tickets to the museum are excluded from the tour price. 1 hr(s)
Attractions and Activities: Argyle Waterfall (At your own expense) Lovely little nature trail, that leads to the first level of the falls and a lovely 18 foot deep swimming lagoon. If you wish you can hire a guide for an additional fee. With 3 levels, the thunderous sound of the waterfall is heard long before you see it. The height of the first cascade hides the real splendor of Argyle's upper levels. If you are adventurous you can hike up a bushy path on the right hand side to the second level, where you are greeted by a thick mist. At this level, you can lie in several natural rock tubs and let the water rush over your body. Finally, going further the third pool, though the smallest is the deepest and the best for swimming, inviting you to dive, jump or swing into the water from available vines. 1 hr(s)
