

▲ Liangzhu Museum is located in Meilizhou Park, Liangzhu Street, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is an archaeological site museum dedicated to collecting, researching, displaying, and promoting Liangzhu culture, with a construction area of approximately 10,000 square meters.


▲ The museum covers a total area of over 40,000 square meters with a construction area of 10,000 square meters. Designed by renowned British architect David Chipperfield, the building features a minimalist style that breaks free from the constraints of figurative forms, embodying a harmonious fusion of art and nature, history and modernity.


▲ The museum's permanent exhibition covers an area of over 4,000 square meters, divided into three exhibition halls. The theme of the permanent exhibition is: The Liangzhu Site serves as sacred evidence of China's 5,000-year civilization. Through three exhibition halls - "Land of Rivers and Lakes", "Sacred Site of Civilization", and "Soul of Jade, Spirit of a Nation" - the exhibition comprehensively, three-dimensionally, and authentically showcases the archaeological achievements and heritage value of the Liangzhu Site and Liangzhu Culture, highlighting the significant position and unique contributions of Liangzhu civilization in the "diverse-yet-integrated" historical development of Chinese civilization.


▲ The Liangzhu Culture dates back approximately 5,300 to 4,300 years. The museum displays over 600 precious artifacts (sets) from the Liangzhu Culture period, including jade ware, stone tools, pottery, and lacquered wooden objects.

▲ The exhibition strives to innovate display concepts and rationally employ advanced exhibition methods and techniques, aiming to diversify communication approaches by combining traditional museum displays with digital presentations. It effectively utilizes large-scale oil paintings, scene reconstructions, digital multimedia, and 3D printing technologies to enhance visitors' immersive experience with physical artifacts. This approach expands the museum's limited exhibition space while providing personalized digital display services for audiences.
