Reviews: Half-Day Tour to Stonehenge from London [Morning/Afternoon Options & Solo Traveler Friendly & Comfortable Coach]

Getting to Stonehenge is a bit inconvenient, especially for those with elderly or young children. After arriving by bus, we were even more glad that we joined a tour group to go directly to the site. It would have been too cold to go in winter, and it would have been too tiring to push the stroller while waiting. We were wondering if such a long bus ride would be worth it, but thankfully we were able to visit in the end. The tour was definitely worth it!
Reviews: Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford Day Trip from London

The experience was great. Kevin was an enjoyable tour guide. Knowledgeable and funny, and knows how to manage the group with timing etc. David drove timely and carefully. The audio aid was a great add-on too. Made it convenient for everyone to during the walking tour of Oxford. It’s quite a long tour given the three sites but it felt jam-packed, and it’s value for money. The Stonehenge site was interesting and very intriguing, the Windsor castle is also nice but we had to wait in line for 30mins in the cold.

Our tour guide was Oliver and the bus driver was Noor. We had a fantastic time. Oliver communicated to our large group like he was in the theater. He shared great history and stories at each location along the way with enthusiasm keeping everyone engaged. He kept it relatively short , 45 minutes to give us time to do our own sight seeing. Noor the drive provided a smooth safe ride. Being from the US the narrow roads required a very skilled driver in the tight traffic areas.

This day tour was an excellent way to experience so much of the UK outside of London in just one full day. James was a fantastic guide—he seemed to know everything, from pop culture and British history to fun day-to-day gossip. He kept the tour engaging and entertaining, even during the quieter moments on the bus. And when we couldn’t enter Windsor Castle due to a state dinner, he still made sure we saw all the best spots around Windsor. All the random factoids he shared were absolute gems. Ricardo, our driver, was fantastic as well. The entire ride was incredibly smooth—I actually dozed off a few times because we were cruising so comfortably from one place to the next. The tour took us through Windsor, Bath, Lacock, and Stonehenge all in a single day. It was so worth it. I highly recommend doing this at least once!

The bus day trip to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle is very coherent. You need to gather at the designated location in the morning. You will leave at about 8 o'clock. Each person will send a bag of breakfast or leave it for lunch. Thanks to Amanda tour guide and Ivan driver for their patient explanation and caring service, very efficient and pleasant journey!
