Reviews: New Zealand Mount Cook Helicopter Sightseeing + Alpine/Snow Landing Helicopter Line + Optional Glacier Hike (20–55 min options + Departing from Glentanner)

The 45-minute snowfall was a fantastic experience. Actually, you don't need to arrive 30 minutes early; arriving a little late is fine too, as there's a queue to register and weigh you, and by the time you get to your turn, it's almost time to go. The pilots can get close to the mountain for a close-up view of the glacier. The snow on the mountain is very soft after being warmed by the sun, so you need to wear waterproof shoes. My regular sneakers were completely soaked after just 10 minutes of taking photos. It wasn't cold at all on the mountain; with the sunshine, it was similar to down below, so you didn't need a down jacket.

This yacht was the most expensive, and not crowded; the large tour groups all went to the yacht next to it. We chose window seats, which were almost entirely filled with foreigners. The food was decent; they gave each person half a lobster, and we were quite full. The views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge were nice, even though we didn't sail that far. We saw the Opera House from multiple angles. Boarding started at 7 pm, and the actual journey took about 1 hour and 45 minutes. After disembarking, some foreigners remained; I wonder if they continued eating—it seemed like there was a birthday party going on.

So much fun! I highly recommend buying diving here—the water in Boracay is incredibly blue and beautiful. We went with a guided tour, and they were great at taking photos for us and watching our belongings. Our guide was so sweet; they even brought bread to feed the fish so we could see them up close! The food was also a hit—loved the Filipino cuisine this time.
