This half day tour is a great and convenient way to visit Hallstat. It is of course more expensive than taking the train or public bus+ferry to get to Hallstat, but it is certainly a time-saver. It's essentially a direct bus trip to Hallstat with a bit of commentary of interesting places that we passed and some history. Once you reached Hallstat, you will go around on your own for about 2.5 hours and the bus will come to pick up at a certain time. The 1.5 hours ride is comfortable and there's a power point at your seat if you need to charge your phone.★

Our tour guide Octavia was very pleasant and friendly!! I would suggest this trip for sure but the time is not enough. We were running a bit to see Hallstatt and Salzburg but overall an excellent choice for day trip if you are in Vienna, especially now that it was snowy!!About
