The Yangmingshan American Military Housing complex covers approximately 13.88 hectares and consisted of about 150 American-style buildings from 1950 to 1979. At that time, many U.S. military officers, advisors, and their families resided in this area.
- Each restaurant is decorated with charming American country-style items, which you can explore on your own.
It still retains a large number of US military buildings. Stepping inside is like entering a retro town from an American movie, giving you the illusion of arriving in America in an instant. The area has now been converted into many restaurants and guesthouses, preserving the original features and style of the buildings. Strolling through this area, you can carefully observe the scenery and objects around you.

- The Starbucks, converted from a former U.S. military dependents' quarters, features an old brick wall next to a wooden platform covered with ancient vines, a testament to its history from 1950 to the present.
The site of the largest recreational center at the time, the "American Army Club," has been transformed into the iconic "Taipei American Army Club Restaurant BRICK YARD 33 1/3," preserving the basic structure of the buildings. It features large red brick walls and roofs, as well as specially constructed red brick windbreak walls to withstand the strong winds of Yangmingshan. Inside, you can see wooden suspended ceilings, a characteristic feature of the entire American Army dormitory complex. If you're lucky, you might even witness a wedding held here.

- The entrance sign of the US Army Club Restaurant, BRICK YARD 33 1/3, with a large expanse of red brick wall.

- Upon entering the dining room, one immediately sees the largest existing wooden roof structure.

- The red brick wind-resistant wall in the restaurant's outdoor garden area, with its unique curved bricklaying technique, can only be seen here.

- If you're lucky, you might even encounter alpacas in the U.S. military barracks area.

- The nearby thatched-roof buildings are the best-preserved original U.S. military barracks, and can be purchased separately to enter and tour the buildings.

- Enter the thatched cottage culture and search for traces of the golden toilet.

- Distinctive ceiling structure, fireplace typical of American homes, and ample windows for natural light.
For American officers and their families who needed to attend worship services, a Catholic church was built in Taiwan at the time, where Catholicism was not prevalent. The church was very much integrated with Chinese architecture. Before entering, one could see the roof of a Chinese temple, as well as a pair of stone lions at the entrance. Inside, the ceiling showed Jesus dressed differently from the West, and the Virgin Mary dressed in Tang Dynasty clothing, demonstrating a fusion of Chinese and Western cultures.
