I had a great experience with this private small group day tour. Booking and confirmation were quick and easy, the itinerary was smooth and accurate, and the 8-hour trip covered all the attractions – excellent value for money. The meeting point was Taipei Station's East Exit 3, probably the easiest place to find. There were about 15 participants that day, and we traveled by minibus. While vehicle restrictions usually prevent us from getting close on weekends, we were able to get to a nearby parking lot by prior arrangement, and even secured a seat at Amei Tea House if we requested. Conductor Chen did a great job. We were extremely lucky to get a seat by the window on the second floor at the teahouse, and Chen seems to have connections with a variety of establishments. Jiufen was said to be relatively quiet today, but it was still crowded. We were there for about two and a half hours, including an hour at the teahouse, and were able to explore every nook and cranny. It was good value for money, and a very satisfying tour.
