On a clear day in Seattle, you can see a snow-capped mountain seemingly floating on the horizon. This is the famous Mount Rainier in Washington State. Mount Rainier is an active volcano, a peak in the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest, and a prominent mountain in Washington State, boasting the largest glacial-covered summit among the contiguous 48 U.S. states. With its perpetually snow-covered peak and glaciers radiating in all directions, it has created the spectacular Mount Rainier National Park, featuring breathtaking waterfalls, expansive lakes, and lush evergreen forests.
