Our tour guide, Xiaopeng, was professional, responsible, meticulous, and thoughtful. He possessed extensive professional knowledge and was extremely dedicated to his work, adding much color to our trip. Throughout the journey, he patiently and meticulously explained the historical background and cultural significance of each attraction, giving us a deeper understanding of the places we visited. Whether it was ancient architecture, unique customs, or local cuisine, he could eloquently describe everything, ensuring our trip was both enjoyable and worry-free. One of the best experiences we had in China. We booked this class as a birthday gift for my husband, and he was absolutely thrilled. The painting teacher and the school headmaster were both exceptionally kind and attentive—genuinely caring hosts who guided us with great patience.
A fluent English-speaking interpreter was present the entire time and assisted with everything, including arranging transport. She also shared fascinating insights into local customs and everyday life in China. The result was a deeply authentic, hands-on experience that felt personal and thoughtfully curated rather than touristy.

We had an amazing time learning about Sichuan culture and cuisine plus Chengdu local life with Jerry. Upon meeting he took us to the neighbor market and walked us from stall to stall, explaining the uses/significance of seemingly every product around. Very comfortable experience. He clearly enjoys showing and explaining everything and nothing felt rushed while we took in the market.
Then for the cooking class, we prepared three essentiap Sichuan dishes alongside Jerry and some school chefs who all walked us through the process. Everything was explained thoroughly and appropriately before starting and it came out great in the end. We came out satisfied with the experience and proud of the level of cooking we had produced!
Perfect for people wanting to learn more about Sichuan food and the region as a whole. We knew a little about the cuisine prior to the class but learned a ton of new things in the process. We also felt that this is suitable for total newcomers too.
