Reviews: Teotihuacan, Guadalupe Shrine & Tlatelolco Day Tour with Lunch

I would like to thank a lot, Albert, our today’s tour driver, and Alex, our guide. Albert made sure we had a safe and pleasant drive throughout the day whereas Alex is a true gem. He was an exceptional guide and truly made the experience unforgettable. He showcased genuine passion and enthusiasm throughout the entire tour, and his great sense of humor made everything even more enjoyable. It was clear that he loved what he was doing, and his energy naturally passed on to us. Alex provided all the necessary information in a clear and engaging way, helping us fully understand and appreciate the tour’s landmarks. He was kind, enthusiastic, generous with his knowledge, and simply the best. Only good words for Alex — highly recommended!
Reviews: Teotihuacan Early Access Guided Tour with optional Lunch

First of all, our English speaking tour guide “Papa” Antonio was amazing. He kept calling us his kids which was funny and he was also knowledgeable in the history of Teotihuacan. He also took time to take pics for us with our phones. I highly recommend this particular tour as it was a very long day but just enough time spent at the ruins. I considered picking other tours that had more stops and other things to see but I imagine it being a super long day or just quick stops where you won’t get to enjoy them. This trip was just the right amount of time spent at the ruins. One of the stops showed you how they make their textiles and a tequila tasting. Definitely a tourist trap where they try to get you to spend money but still a good and fun part of the tour. There were about 40 or so folks on the bus but only a small group of 15-20 on our guided tour which was nice. This tour was also great because we started early and only a couple other groups were there. A good hour in and you can see the place start to fill up from there. Highly recommend for the early access (less crowds and less heat) , great tour guide, and just the right amount of time spent at each location. Don't forget to wear a hat and bring water! It was nice when we arrived but an hour in and you definitely needed shade and hydration. Pictures are not as impressive as seeing this place in person.

We were picked up by Francisco on time from our hotel, then we picked up the other tourists. Francisco was bilingual and was pretty good from switching between Spanish and English. We were the only English speakers, so he did make the special effort to explain everything in English. Overall, it was a very nice tour and a day well spent. The only thing that was average was the restaurant for lunch (which seemed like a tourist trap), but otherwise everything was exceptional. Definitely recommend!
