The tour is very nice but the return was a bit difficult since the buses could stop at intermediate stations and you have to wait for the new bus to return to the pre-established destination.★

The bus trip was very comfortable, and Sergio, our guide, had extensive knowledge of everything we saw around us. We had radios throughout the tour so we could hear him better. He also showed us where the Mexica obtained the colors to paint the pyramids. We arrived early and saw the sunrise over Teotihuacan, including the hot air balloons.★

The tour of the pyramids was the highlight of our trip to CDMX. We went on New Year's Day and had no traffic. It was basically an Uber driver who picked us up and drove us there. We got there relatively quickly (40 minutes) and met with our guide who spoke English. I sometimes had a hard time understanding him, but he was very friendly and knowledgable. The pyramids are absolutely incredible. You should not miss them. Although you cannot climb up the Pyramid of the Sun, you can on the Pyramid of the Moon, and the view is amazing. Don't miss doing that! There are a lot of vendors between the two pyramids, but not really in an annoying way. I liked some of the items they were selling and bought a magnet that I really liked and seemed like good quality.
After the tour, we were taken to a restaurant where we ordered and got served the best food on our trip. The tortilla soup was probably the best I've ever had and the mole was also fantastic. My family ordered various other things and everything was delicious. Definitely go with the tour that includes the lunch. I was so happy we did that instead of the cave lunch I originally wanted. Although it would have been cool to see the cave, I cannot imagine the food being better than what we were served on this tour. Also, the cook was a lovely woman who handmade everything herself. Great experience.
