The whole day was a delight with guides Irina and Andra who provided a great experience and information throughout the day. The Mohos peat bog and st ana crater lake were stunning. But the highlight was, of course, the bears. It was an incredible experience and we saw six bears! Can’t recommend enough!★

My friends and I booked a private tour with Active Travel, had the most wonderful experience with Marian, our guide. He was absolutely accommodating in every way and chose two locations that were perfect for us. The scenery was breathtaking, and Marian was so knowledgeable, and shared so many interesting stories and historical facts with us. After our hike we finished up having lunch in a guest house which was arranged by Marian, and everything was perfect. Marian spoke with so much love and passion for the Carpathian’s and Romania, and is an advocate for ecotourism which we found inspiring. We recommend Active Travel and will def be back to Romania to book with them again.Trip.com Picks
