Reviews: Grandma Home Cooking in Chiang Mai, Thailand Special Experience Available all-day/Morning/Afternoon

A fantastic experience, definitely worth going! The school has a large garden perfect for taking photos. The teachers speak excellent Chinese and are incredibly energetic, providing a lot of emotional support. The entire process was very smooth; it's a meticulously crafted commercial project. You can actually cook delicious Thai food yourself, and there's a photographer for everyone. Every transition between scenes was seamless. The only part I found the market visit a bit boring. By lunchtime, there were hardly any stalls open, and Thai markets seem similar to Chinese ones, so you can skip this part. Pick-up and drop-off are very convenient. If you want to easily coordinate your itinerary, you can schedule pick-up and drop-off at the market or old city instead of just your hotel.

This cooking class was one of the best experiences we had. Our guide was Roger who is an amazing instructor and entertainer. He made the class so much fun. We cooked a lot and ate a lot. We were so full by the end of the class. I recommend everyone to do this experience. Also the compound was so beautiful.

THE CLASS WAS SO FUN!!! It was really cool to visit the market and learn about different local ingredients that are used in Thai dishes. Satam made the class so enjoyable and fun! she was very patient with us and was very knowledgeable! The cooking class was easy to follow and there was A LOT OF FOOD after! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to go.
Reviews: Afternoon Tea at InterContinental Chiang Mai Mae Ping Hotel | Teresa Teng Afternoon Tea
Guest User2025-10-15
Room 1502 on the 15th floor of the hotel is where Teresa Teng lived. The room currently open for viewing is Room 1602 on the 16th floor, which is sometimes called a replica of the exhibition room. The hotel charges 950 baht per person for afternoon tea and a room tour. We booked it in advance through Ctrip (163 RMB per person). Upon arrival, the hotel staff verified our e-voucher and took us to the 16th floor. We were seated for afternoon tea (the 12 of us chose a larger private room) and were then free to explore the adjacent rooms. The room had looping videos and music playing. The window offered a stunning view of Chiang Mai's cityscape, and below, the hotel gardens. After the room tour, afternoon tea was served. It included exquisite sweet and savory treats, paired with three teas: jasmine, oolong, and chrysanthemum. Each person could also order a coffee. I ordered an iced Americano, which was delicious. My friends and I had a very enjoyable afternoon tea together, and we were all very satisfied with the quality of the tea and the service. This is a truly nostalgic experience worth experiencing in person.

One of the best experiences in Thailand!!! A great tour with transfers, including a visit to the market, but you don't have to buy anything. At the school itself, you'll be greeted by very sweet and cheerful girls with whom you'll cook. The school also has its own garden and turtles, which they'll show off and tell you all about. The cooking session was incredibly clear and fun, with lots of energy and useful knowledge. You can choose three dishes, receive a dessert, a drink, make one, and receive a free cookbook.

This was a lovely and relaxing Thai massage in the heart of Old Chiang Mai. The staff are extremely attentive, and will check in with you regarding pressure and comfort during your massage. Complementary tea and snacks are included, as well as Mango Sticky Rice at the end.
