It's very convenient to buy and use immediately. Just enter the letters and numbers below the QR code to get your ticket instantly. When entering the gate, remember to take a picture of the contactless payment icon; once the green light comes on, you're good to go. Ticket checks are frequent; on the day we went, six ticket inspectors boarded and took away two people who hadn't bought tickets. Not swiping your card is equivalent to not buying a ticket, and the fines are quite heavy.★

Valet passes are valid for 75 minutes from the time they are issued, so even if you have a reservation for a specific date, you should issue your pass just before the day you plan to use it. I accidentally issued a pass for a reservation for another day and wasted it.★

This is a “must do” experience! Vanessa was a fun, intelligent, informative guide. Vanessa walked us through the history of Venice’s Jewish Ghetto and more. All of our senses were aroused and used: The smells and tastes of local foods and wines, the sounds of the city, touching the walls of temples, and seeing the ancient buildings. She specializes in make each stop personal with food and beverage choices. It was certainly an adventurous day. I highly recommend this guide and tour!★

Eager to explore the Venice Ghetto, we neglected the food aspect when booking our tour! We thought it would just involve a few tastings here and there. Imagine our surprise when Vanessa, our guide for the evening, announced the program! Indeed, while we learned a great deal about Jewish life during that period, we also sampled a whole host of specialties throughout the evening. Right from the start, we were invited to try traditional Jewish cuisine. Later, we tasted almond pastries, and after some interesting explanations and anecdotes, we went to the Cannaregio district where we enjoyed an aperitif accompanied by cecchetti. Further on, we savored a pasta dish, and to finish, we were treated to gelato. We had a wonderful evening, our minds enriched and our stomachs full. A big thank you to Vanessa!★
