We took the TranzAlpine as part of our journey to Queenstown - breathtaking views all the way! Unfortunately, we faced a surprising 2-hour delay, which was frustrating. If time allows, consider adding Pancake Rocks near Greymouth/Hokitika to your itinerary (though it's a bit far). Still, the landscapes made it worthwhile for train lovers!★

We really enjoyed our day trip during which we saw the beautiful mountains and got to walk among the huge rocks of Castle Hill. Sophie our guide was very thoughtful and efficient. We had a great lunch and snacks. We were well taken care of. We would have enjoyed a bit more commentary but it was well worth the time and cost.★

The fish and chips included in the itinerary were absolutely delicious—the best fish and chips I've ever had! Unfortunately, we weren't lucky enough to see a whale flip over during whale watching, but we did see countless dolphins, which was truly spectacular! The tour included many scenic stops and views, making the whole trip very enjoyable and relaxing!
